Summary of the application of XPE IXPE foaming material in the sports industry
XPE foaming material and IXPE foaming material are widely used in the sports industry due to their superior physical properties such as hydrophobicity, shock absorption, and rebound.
1. Application of artificial turf mat
In school football fields, leisure lawns, indoor golf courses and other places, in order to create simulated sports venues, 10mm XPE foaming material or 8mm IXPE foaming material will be laid under the artificial turf to provide a soft and resilient sports texture. The product is made of green and black-gray as the main colors, with auxiliary punching (preventing water accumulation) and glue sticking and other processes.
2. Application of water sports
XPE foaming material and IXPE foaming material are widely used in water recreation and sports, among which floating blankets and viscose surfboards are the main ones. Due to the hydrophobicity, resilience, weather resistance and other properties of XPE and IXPE, the large-scale adoption of XPE foaming material and IXPE foaming material in this project is determined.
3. Application of sports venues (such as gymnastics, arenas)
The high-magnification, high-thickness products in the arena are cut into strips (not cut), and the surface is compounded with flannel or non-slip cloth, which is anti-collision and anti-dropping while increasing the comfort of use. The props (such as arrow targets) in the arena are also cut with 80 ~ 100 mm XPE.
4. Application of yoga mats and fitness mats
Indoor single-person fitness mats (such as yoga mats) are made of high-rate XPE foaming material, and are made of composite non-slip materials on both sides.
